Demand for workforce housing is far greater than the
supply available to MLH. Therefore, workforce housing is only provided
to eligible families on MLH’s waiting list. Due to the overwhelming
demand, in March 2004, MLH initially utilized a lottery system to determine
the order in which households would be placed on the first Mammoth Lakes
Community Wide Workforce Housing Waiting List. This ensured that everyone
who expressed an interest in workforce housing was given an equal opportunity
to receive a rental or purchase unit, and that all were treated in a
fair and consistent manner. To participate in the initial lottery, you
must have applied by December 31, 2004 and attended a scheduled Application
Workshop.
MLH continues to accept Applications and eligible applicants will be
placed on the Waitlist on a first come first serve basis.
If you meet certain criteria regarding income and employment history,
you can apply to be placed on the Community Wide Workforce Housing Waiting
List.

All information, applications, names on the waiting list, etc. is confidential.
